The practical courses of this program are held in our school's paramedic laboratory and in our hospital's emergency medical services unit.
First and Emergency Aid (Paramedic), defined as the key to the chain of survival in Emergency Health Services and an important part of pre-hospital emergency care, is a professional equipped with the knowledge to provide first aid to patients or injured people in critical condition, who knows what to do in the face of any event and who acts according to ethical rules.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this program is to train qualified manpower to work in emergency health service units of other institutions and organizations, especially health institutions.

Student Qualifications: Physical Attributes: Students admitted to this program must have a report from a fully equipped public hospital certifying that they have a physical and mental health condition that does not preclude obtaining a driver's license; possess sufficient physical structure and strength for rescue and transportation tasks; and be 17 years of age or older by the time of registration, as driving is required by the curriculum in the second year. Students enrolled in this program are required to wear the uniform required by their profession during practical classes.
Internship Practices and Duration During Education at the College: 20 working days of compulsory practice in the summer term of the First and Emergency Aid program for the first year and 20 days of compulsory practice in the summer term of the second year, and 14 weeks of hospital practice, 5 days a week, is carried out in the spring semester of the second year.
Program Graduates' Titles and Work Areas: Graduates of this program earn the title of Health Technician. Graduates can work in emergency response units of public and private institutions, emergency health service central administrative units, emergency response stations, emergency response, patient transport, and specially equipped ambulance services, and emergency response control and command centers.
Job Opportunities: Provided that they pass the KPSS exam and are appointed, they can work in public institutions and organizations in this sector, as well as in private health institutions and organizations, as Health Technicians.
The Future of the Profession: After successfully completing our vocational school, our students can take the Vertical Transfer Exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center and, if successful, they will be eligible for undergraduate education. With advancements in technology, healthcare institutions are increasingly choosing university graduates as they need qualified personnel, and this is expected to become even more important in the future.
Vertical Transferable Departments:
Students who graduate from our program can transfer to the departments of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing, and Nursing and Health Services.
